Westcon Power & Automation caters to rig owners, drilling contractors and oil companies. The onshore department has performed EIT responsibility for over 150 rig yard stays and a wide range of projects offshore, in Norway and abroad.

Our offshore department consists of experienced service personnel in fixed rotation, who complete projects both small and large in addition to operational assistance for rig clients. Our solution-oriented professionals have many years of experience with electro installations both on- and offshore. They travel wherever needed in order to solve our clients’ challenges.

General installations

We performinstallations and documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines set by authority, class and customer demands, regardless of location:
- Onshore yard stays, SPS
- Offshoreinstallation, conversion and commissioning
- Survey and Engineering

Digital Inspections

We perform customized digital inspections in accordance to regulatory guidelines from authority, class and client demands:
- EX inspections and reparations are performed by certified inspectors according toIEC60079 and CompEx.
- MCT (Multi Cable Transit)
- Non-electric sources of ignition
- Heating systems
- Z-015
- F&G calibrations

Fiber and Network

We perform network installations of type Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a for testing and certifications up to 900Mhz. We also perform fiber fusion splicing, fiber optics and documentation.

Thermography

The survey is conducted in accordance with DNV regulations, by DNC certified inspectors with DNV certified equipment.
